Plant ID forum: Identify a plant

I was wondering what the plant is called. I know it is very common but I just can't seem to think of it. It flowers in the late Summer or fall I think.

Do you remember what the flowers look like? Does it smell like garlic?

I can think of two possibilities: Variegated Society Garlic (would smell like garlic with purple Allium type flowers).

Or Variegated Mondo Grass (flowers more like scrawy Grape Hyacinth)

My first thought was Lilyturf/Lirope muscari 'variegata':
Sunset Zone 28, AHS Heat Zone 9, USDA zone 8b~"Leaf of Faith"
