I have had this plant around for many years and can not remember a name. The plant is a single leaf growing from a single stem (from corm/bulb). Plant fades away in fall and reappears in late spring.

It appears to be an Amorphophallus. Do you have a bloom photo?

Yes! Looks like the Amorphophallus paeoniifolius in the database here. I have never seen a flower on the 2 plants I have. I did not know that this plant was capable of flowering. I have had a corm form on the center of the leaf and thought that was it for reproduction.

I'd expect to see a green petiole with light splotches, yours seems the reverse. A. paeoniifolius usually have a rough petiole, seldom smooth. What is yours like?

Duh me, that's a huge clue!! Compare to Voodoo Lily (Amorphophallus bulbifer)
