It got down to 4 degrees Celsius here yesterday.
Accompanied by much needed rain.
Not sure how eggplants and sweet potatoes did.
They are droopy now so ???

It wasn't so much of a cold snap as a cold week to begin the month here. The temperature dropped into single digits Celsius several nights between Jun 1 and Jun 8, including a low of 3C/37F to start the day on Jun 7. Now, though, we have bounced back into a heat-wave, with a forecast high today of 30C/86F. The plants are not feeling droopy, but I am.

I think most of the plants will recover with the loss of a few leaves.
I would not like to be in your 30 degree weather either.
Just can not take the heat any more!

Crazy weather -- we've had the rain (big storm last night), but the temps have been pretty warm, we hit 80F today. Feels weird to be outside without a jacket or sweatshirt Hilarious!

Still trying to get my garden planted... Whistling (better be a nice long autumn!)

Still trying here too.
A few tomatoes, peppers and eggplants to go into containers.
Then a massive attack on quack grass!

It seems to be a particularly good year for the weeds Blinking

The heat-wave has broken, and today we are cooling off with thunderstorms and showers. The only "snap" going on is me snapping shots of the snapping turtle laying eggs. If I was brave, I would sit and watch, but I'm not. I took the shot from a long way off.

Well here it was abnormally cold, now it is abnormally warm.
A couple of weeks of nineties to high eighties really dried out the ground.
My corn, which probably rotted during the cold wet snap, did not come up but when I re-roto-tilled the garden last week it was dry several inches down and the rose garden was so dry the ground was cracking.

When I tilled it to plant new ones, it was like roto-tilling hard paths that had been walked on all summer.
It rained the past several days on and off so now the ground is wet again.
Potatoes though seem to like this weather as they are doing real well so far.

Lake Michigan must help my area keep from having those wild temperature swings -- we've only barely been into the 80s a couple of times, and the lowest temps anytime recently have been mid 50s. Lots of wind and rain lately, though!

Now we are back to below average which I like but the warm weather was good for the tomatoes and chiles.
Right now it is 68 and supposed to get cooler the next couple of days.

Tentatively scheduled to finish Sharon's nieces retaining wall this Sunday so weather should be good.
So far few skeets.
