The photo may have been added after the 2 previous posts. I'm seeing Scabiosa:

Thank you. It was in a pot that someone gave me with no drainage. I just planted it. The color of the flower is blue. It was said that it was a butterfly plant, but I don't see it from the pictures on line.

Than you so much for your help.

Scabiosa, common name is Pincushion Flower, usually comes in blue and sometimes pink. It definitely attracts butterflies. Here's a couple links that will give you some more information.

Sadly I made the mistake of pulling mine up when it was dormant. I was weeding and yes, I thought I was pulling up a weed. Later a lightbulb went off in my head that I had just destroyed my pincushion flower. I feel better after reading that some are annuals and some are perennials. Hope mine was an annual.

Enrich the soil and maybe put down some mulch. (Mother Nature doesn't like to be naked.) If you can add a few plants then you'll have a nice little garden!

Aha! It's probably this cultivar:
Pincushion Flower (Scabiosa columbaria 'Butterfly Blue')
