Hello everybody Smiling

I was wondering what is the name of this plant... Couldn't find it anywhere on the web.

Thanks a lot :D

Hi & welcome! Agree with Dizygotheca elegantissima (now moved to or through Schefflera.)
False Aralia (Schefflera elegantissima)
False Aralia (Schefflera elegantissima 'Galaxy')

A big, beautiful, healthy, happy one! Very nice! Please don't let any old wives' tales found searching the name change the care regime that has gotten this plant to this beautiful state, or cause you to 2nd-guess yourself.

Hi Dovestray & Coltonw Welcome! to you both!

I agree with Colton, your lovely plant is Schefflera elegantissima (synonym Dizygotheca)

Your plant appears to have broader leaves than those of False Aralia (Schefflera elegantissima 'Galaxy')

I wonder if perhaps it's a mature form of False Aralia (Schefflera elegantissima 'Olympia')

Investigating to answer this made me totally question the cultivar name on mine and I asked to move it to another but now I wonder if it should just go in the species entry or be deleted. Mine is variegated but looks more like pics I found called 'Gold Crest,' so I asked to move it to that from 'Galaxy.' I'd rather not represent a cultivar if I have doubt or other people do.

This is the 2nd time I've seen a discussion about juvenile/mature foliage on these kinds of plants. If that is true, it's not a characteristic shared by 2 other ubiquitous species of Schefflera, and hopefullly elegantissima will be settled to Plerandra or back to Dizygotheca or Aralia. What a mess with this renaming.

Costa Farms sells two with the name of 'Galaxy', one just says Variegated Galaxy http://www.costafarms.com/plan... I wonder if there is a true cultivar named 'Galaxy Variegata'?

I think I have a little variegated one around here somewhere that I'm sure was a Costa Farms/Exotic Angel Plant. I'll have to look around and try to find it and take pictures for comparison.

I just went out and took pictures of my two large plants that I've had for quite a few years and the little variegated plant that I got last year. I'm assuming the difference in leaf diameter and coloration of my large plants is due to the difference in growing conditions. It's been raining and it's quite humid so these aren't the best photos but I thought I'd share to show the difference.

Schefflera elegantissima, growing inside the atrium, bright shade, no direct sun:

Schefflera elegantissima, growing in our screened pool area, NW side of house where it gets a lot of filtered sun most of the day:

The little variegated plant that was sitting out beneath a tree in full shade:
