When it came time to prune my roses this year I had surgery scheduled so I did some rather sever pruning....I just cut them down to about 18 inches, not paying any attention to cutting at the proper places. I fertilized heavily and watered frequently. They were slow starting out and I was discouraged but now look as nice as my roses have ever looked. They are just starting to bloom and I will add pictures later. Some other rose gardens in my neighborhood are in lovely bloom and I thought I would show how roses can grow in Utah Zone 5b gardens.
