In the last two weeks I've submitted two new plants that I can't find in the database. I have not received a confirmation that they were added. In the past if a plant was not acceptable for whatever reason I received a denial or a request for additional information, or a note that it was already in the database under a preferred synonym.
Should I re-submit them?

We used to be able to track submissions to the data base allowing one to ascertain submission's status. The last conversation regarding that ability indicated it was going to come back.

It's possible the moderator is just busy and has to research your suggestions. I'm sure you'll hear one way or the other soon.

That was my first thought. This happened once a couple of years ago but I can't remember the resolution.

I just went into my profile and you can click on the different forms of proposals. You can see the status there.

Thanks for the suggestion. I checked there. It shows my proposals chronologically from 2013 through 2016. Nothing I added in 2017 shows at all, including the ones from earlier this spring that were added to the db. Unless of course I am looking in the wrong place. I looked under miscellaneous proposals.

@MikeD is the moderator of the cucurbits and so he'll be the one to check it. He is in a busy season right now but I hope he'll be along soon enough.

The other one I just now approved for you Slipper Flower (Calceolaria 'Valentine Hybrids')

Thanks Dave. No rush. I just wanted to make sure there was not a problem before I submit anything else.

Hi @poisondartfrog,

I am sorry if I was the cause of a backlog. Submissions in my "off-season" (whenever that is Smiling ) get responded to fairly quickly, but as @dave described, this is farming season right now so I do not get a lot of "derriere in chair" time.

That said, I do work to keep up with email in the evenings so if you have a submission that is sitting there for too long, just shoot me a Tree-Mail if I am the moderator holding up progress.

Best Regards,

Mike

P.S. - I believe all submissions are caught up as of this writing.
