Is there any way you can get a picture with the markings a bit sharper? It looks like a stink bug but I'm not getting a match with the pics I've looked at so far and there's a spot that I can't see clearly that would narrow it down. Hopefully someone will recognize it for you.

Yeah, looks much like a stink but. It might not be quite in its adult stage, making it harder to ID.

Had one of these in my house the other day and my daughter said "get it out of the house" in panic mode. I said why??? She said its a stink bug, so I put it outdoors.

That's funny! Goes to show sometimes we overthink things that are obvious to see through a child's eyes.
