I am going to sod my new lawn. We live in southern Jacksonville, FL and the soil conditions are fairly sandy with great sun coverage and plenty of water available for watering. I am leaning towards the Celebration Bermuda grass variety, but wanted to get some opinions from other homeowners on how they like this variety if they have it installed for their lawn. Articles claim it to be tolerant to drought, traffic, shade, weeds, bugs, and fungus through a good maintenance regime. I know Bermuda is used primarily for golf courses and other sports venues, but use is increasing for homeowners. What I fear is having to mow it more often. Can anyone speak to how often they have to mow during each of the seasons? Especially those of you that live in or near the south Jacksonville area. Thanks in advance.

Find out the hybird bermuda, that they grow on the infields of baseball diamonds. It has fine textured blades, and grows dence, shading out weeds and other grasses.
If that describes seeds your looking at. I'd say : SOLD 😁
