...And although splochy I found it quite beautiful and curious. Walking towards the daylilies I was sure it was a polymerous bloom until I was upon it and saw two sets of reproductive parts? Siamese twin? I've never seen this before and curious if there's a specific term? I'll have to dig the identity out but it is one of the varieties I purchased from Lisa aka @Lilydaydreamer

Google didn't get me very far...(pintrest---good grief Charlie Brown, they've single handedly killed image searches!)

Curious who's seen this type of bloom, all new to me! Any info appreciated, similar images would be of interest as well. Long workday tomorrow but I'll update with it's proper name and current blooms.

(Lackluster image quality due to my inexperience with my 3 day old camera) D'Oh!

It's a fused bloom. You sound just like I did the first time I experienced one. Smiling You can get fused scapes also. I don't know what causes either condition, I'm sure someone with more knowledge on here probably does.

Thanks, "fused bloom" works much better than Siamese Twin. Neat and the bloom obviously suffered but it was a garden oddity. Thumbs up

Thank You!

Your Welcome! I live in SW Ohio, and had splotchy blooms yesterday too. I think the rain we had causes the splotchy blooms.
Thank You! For the acorn
Can I ask, How do you give acorns? I'm all ears!

@taylordaylily
Just click on the acorn in a post and it will bring up a screen asking how many acorns you would like to give. Enter the number and confirm.

You're quite welcome for the acorn, corny as it may sound they come in handy on this site. Thanks so much for the proper terminology! I'd never noticed such a bloom, not to say I might have worked right past a few over the years. Neat stuff!

Thanks again! Thank You!
