My neighborhood has a lot of new Pseudosycamore Maples [red king?] but I don't think I've ever found a real Sycamore tree. Just this year I collected a bunch of local seed from Juniper, some beautiful syrupy Fir pods, and those maples. On my street we have those twirly maples and a lot of oak, so this spring I planted some and saved a few from the pretty trees. [Still waiting on those darn acorns!-] In a few years they will all make great bonsai. I'm thinking of replacing some of the fell trees on my lot, and a sycamore would replace those very well.

I have a big sycamore...been seeing the seed balls on the ground lately. I'll have to go out and look, but we've had a LOT of rain the last few days so not sure what I'll find.
Each cloud has a silver lineing if only you look for it.

just looked...many unripe green balls and muddy piles where the rain did a number on the ripe ones. Sorry
