|I planted a raspberry plant last year and it seemed to do really well. This year, it started growing vigorously. However, there seems to be new growth that is rediculously huge growing out of the center with no berries in it taking over the whole bed. Is this part of the plant or is it an invasive plant? I don't want to pull it out if it is part of the plant. Thanks in advance.

|Brambles tend to put on a flush of growth in one year, which doesn't produce berries until the next year.
Leave that weed, it will produce berries next year.
The stems that have fruit on them now?
Prolly be dead stems next year.

|It looks nice and healthy. That is all new growth you have there.|
