Hi,

I've been primarily a hosta grower and haven't kept track of my Heucheras as well as I might. I have, however, saved the tags from three. The one that puzzles me most is 'Mocha Mist' as I don't seem to have a plant that fits the image on the tag. But AFAIK, I've not had any die nor have I given any away unless I knew the ID. Does that variety change colour as it matures?

The other tags I've not yet attached to plants are 'Peach Flambe' and 'Georgia Peach'. I've got some pictures but am currently in an airport. I'll have to access them later. But if anyone has mature pictures of those varieties I'd appreciate seeing them.

Thanks.
Ann

Never heard of Mocha Mist. Sure it is not Mocha Mint which should be a darker green with silver overlays. Georgia peach has rounder leaves that show veining Peach Flambe has a smaller ruffled leaves that do not show as much veining . Georgia Peach has pinker tones while Peach Flambe has more orange - red tones.

It is indeed Mocha Mint. Either I mistyped or misread what I wrote down as I sent my message while waiting in Ottawa airport yesterday. Currently in Copenhagen awaiting another flight (#3) to Trondheim, Norway. When I get home next week I'll have a good look at the ones which are untagged. But, I can't think of one which fits the description.

I've got 'Marmalade'

Dale's Strain

Several 'Lime Rickey' - it grows very well for me.

'Tiramisu' which I like a lot.

This one shows a 'Lime Rickey', a small 'Snow Angel' (I've got several but they grow slowly for me) and one which I can't ID.

All the above pictures are from late May.

This one from June 16 is unidentified.

Once home, I found an old picture IDing this one as 'Chocolate Ruffles'.

I found a marker saying 'Can Can' for this one.

Your Heuchea look great , one of the nicer Marmalade I have seen. So many look similar but I will give my best guess, hopefully the names will connect with you.
5th picture down Palace Purple or Bronze Wave.
6th Dolce Blackberry ice.
7TH Berry Marmalade
8th I would say Can Can is correct.

So you don't think either of the No IDs could be Georgia Peach or Peach Flambe (for which I have tags)? Palace Purple is a distinct possibility as the name sounds familiar to me, though I don't have a tag for it. (I DO, usually, file those tags away in a binder even if I don't mark the plant). But the names Bronze Wave, Blackberry Ice and Berry Marmalade aren't familiar to me.

Thank you for your thoughts.

I would have to say no way to the Georgia Peach or Peach Flambe.

I'm home now and have looked through old pictures back several years. I've found one should be 'Chocolate Ruffles' and I've edited the thread above. I also found a marker under 'Peach Crisp' but I didn't post a picture of it above. I took one today but haven't yet edited.
