That is really stunning. I especially like the darker ribbing. Packs a punch for such a tiny flower.

I don't see blue at all, but could be my screen. Seems each monitor interprets blues and purples differently. When I am able to grow this (iffy for me) it is a nice clear blue. In any case, it is a lovely shot.

It almost matches the blue type above the image to me, no pink of violet tones. Guess it is your monitor. Shrug!
Such a pretty thing. Thumbs up

You're likely correct Sue. I checked the same image on my smaller screen and, yes, it shows as much more true blue. I suppose I could try to calibrate my large screen...but likely not. My patience/interest with technology is pretty slim.

Yes and I also find reds are very difficult to photograph and represent the true colour. And monitors are definitely a thing!
This really is a lovely little plant. One of the things I love about the Harlow Carr alpine house is that they have two large display sections and change the plants according to season, but also that the beds are at hip height or so, so it's great to be able to see the smaller blooms up close. A macro lens helps as well Smiling
Thanks for the kind comments.
Sue
