My Easter Cactus is growing like crazy (which is great) but have a question about one of the new segments (leaf). All the segment are all flat but one. It is flat on the top but under that one segment it has another part (like a triangle). Does anyone know why it did this?

I have had this Easter cactus for 1 1/2 years got it 12/2015. I got a bud once but had bud blast. Repotted 4/2017.

Yes, a picture would be helpful. How long have you had it and has it flowered before?

I have an Easter cactus (So I'm told) too but yours looks more like a Christmas cactus. It has a lot of three sided branches like that and is fine but again mine are all thick three sided. There are a couple three sided showing in the small pot.

You can't see them in bigger very easily because they appear usually at soil level.

While the stems typically are flat, they often grow in a triangular shape as well. Thumbs up

Sharon - Your plant is an Epiphyllum, not an Easter Cactus.
