This honeydew/melon plant (not sure) is full of male flowers and no females in sight
Do they come after, or is it something else?

Yes, it's normal for melons to put out all male flowers for a while before the female ones show up. Squash and cucumbers often do the same thing.

Melons produce a lot of male flowers before they get around to producing female flowers. It has nothing to do with your care - the plant just needs to be more mature.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and proclaiming...."WOW What a Ride!!" -Mark Frost
