My parents live in Brussels, Belgium (I live in California). They have these plants in pots on their balcony. Would appreciate help identifying them. The attached are the only photos I have, taken this month (June 2017) when I visited them.

Thanks

Thanks, I found Euphorbia lathyris having the exact look. Googling for more info, this plant is poisonous and considered a weed!

Thanks

I find it to be quite appealing - and surly they never intended to eat it anyway.

Most palnts are poisonous to some degree. Don't get rid of it for that reason. Personally, I like Euphorbia. I have one in my garden; the dog avoids it so all is good.

Just because it is considered a weed here, doesn't mean it is considered a weed in Belgium.

And remember, the definition of a weed is an unwanted plant. I would want that one. Smiling

Thank you all for your responses, amazing how quickly you can identify them. My parents are elderly, I'll send the notes I found about the plant, and just tell them to be careful with the skin irritation.

Thanks
