There is no option for me to decline or even approve the proposal! At least it doesn't come up on my view of the proposal!

You're right, Connie. Merge proposals can only be processed by admins.

I seem to recall that change a while back due to the occasional complexity of merges. So why does the proposal still show up on the moderator's page?

I don't know why it shows up in your moderation queue, but that is confusing, I agree.

So can somebody take care of this? I can't do it...

I approved it. @Australis didn't know (before today ) that mods can't approve merge proposals.

Thanks for pointing that out, Dave, and thanks for tidying up the entries, Connie! I stumbled across it yesterday in the Garden Liliums catalogue and then found that there was a duplicate misspelling in the database.

My research showed that it actually is sold under both names, hence the opportunity occurred sometime in the past that both spellings were entered.

And I had forgotten mods couldn't approve the merges Connie, they don't pop up that often.

Well, it seems like the merge request should show up in the plant admins queue instead of the moderators... If that is fixable it would be nice.

It does show up in the Plant admins queue. Perhaps it should not show up in the moderator one to avoid confusion.
