Hi
I bought a rose bush that was supposed to be an apricot westerland climber but turns out it's a yellow rose. Someone said it might be a gold badge but I just don't know. I'm hoping someone can tell me what it is. Thank you in advance!

It could be Rose (Rosa 'Gold Badge, Cl.') the blooms certainly looks large enough. Does it seem to be a climber?
If you got it from a local nursery, perhaps you can ask about their supplier if Gold Badge was one of their plants.

Hi
Thanks for responding! This is my first rose bush so no idea if it's a climber. Wouldn't know how to tell Smiling The shop is 2 hours away and I can't find them online Sad

A climber will eventually throw out long canes.
There are so many yellow roses that it may be difficult to really pinpoint an exact ID.

Looks very healthy, nice dark leaves! Seems to be a good plant and for a first rose, that's a plus! Thumbs up
Just noticed you are in BC, coast or inland? All of hubby's family live along the coast just north of Vancouver and we visit often.

I cannot say for sure, but it seems to me that Gold Badge is a reasonable guess. I have not been able to get any photos of climbing Gold Badge in my garden that I really wanted to post; but for identification purposes, here is a photo of it this season. Thrips damage and all....

Thanks everyone! It certainly looks like it! Someone told me that climbers have 7 leaves and all others do not. Is that true??
