I agree
Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.

I agree geranium but I don't thing Johnson's Blue, the leaves are a bit different and the JB bloom has a more distinct whiter center splotch.

Definitely a Geranium of some type but I don't know which. A few for comparison:

Bloody Cranesbill (Geranium sanguineum)
Hardy Geranium (Geranium pratense)
Geranium RozanneĀ®
Hardy Geranium (Geranium 'Brookside')

Not Brookside either, (currently my favorite, I have 7, so far!) The leaves pictures from the original post seem more finely dissected and no white center in bloom.
