In the last month my computer monitor screen will turn black on occasion..........not the dreaded blue screen of death, but it kinda makes me wonder if it's gonna do a croaker on me? I have to turn it off via the switch on the surge protector; leave it off for a bit, then turn everything back on and it's fine. Maybe in a couple of days it will do it again. Since I know nothing about the innards of computer/monitor equipment, I'm asking because I'm sure someone or many someones will have an answer for me.

Sorry, I wish I could help you, Anna. Is it very old? How is it performing once it's up and running? Do you have a sleep switch on your computer that might be turning it off automatically? Just some thoughts.

Don't think it is a sleep switch. The monitor is probably about 5 years old. Never had a problem with it. Computer works fine, and the monitor does too, except when it decides to have a spaz. Sticking tongue out
