It's presently blooming in Cheyenne. The third year for the original plants. I was expecting them to be strictly biennial (since I don't cut the flowering stems back until after the seed has matured). Once I do cut them back, they regrow fresh, fuzzy foliage that stays nice the rest of the season. For some reason, they're a slug favorite in the spring of the year Glare It doesn't seem to bother the plants (but it bugs me).

Thanks for the photo of flowers. I'll have to get this one. I have Woolly Lamb's Ear (Helen Von Stein) & use the foliage in flower arrangements. Perhaps this Salvia argenta Artemis would do double duty with the wonderful flowering stem,
