The first is a Sedum, maybe Autumn Joy, and the second may be one of the Coneflowers. What did the flowers look like?

I'm not getting anywhere with little purple iris looking. Sorry! Maybe someone else will have a suggestion.

Did the irises look like this?

The picture under the sedum could be Rudbeckia 'Goldsturm' or something similar:

Countrygal92 - The purple flower looks just like my purple spiderwort. Is it a single bloom with no other buds or a cluster of buds?

Spiderwort is a common name for many species/cultivars of upright, grassy Tradescantias.

The foliage looks right for iris on the one the OP said looked like one. It could be a species iris. When did it bloom? And do you remember any other details?
