Anyone know of any East Coast suppliers of sempervivums?Nearly all websites seem to be from Pacific coast. Interested in acquiring some - noids and named cultivars.

If any semp gardeners in Mid-Atlantic area would like to hear from them. Looking for suggestions as I am just getting reacquainted with them and not too knowlegable.

Welcome Don,

If your just looking for some NOIDs - check out your local Walmart...

They have tables of them in this area, very very marked down...
Great way to start messing with some again, and you wouldn't be
out much.....

I couldn't even resist getting some nice size ones at $1.24....

Yes, very economical to get Noids at the Big Box stores like Wal Mart, Freddie Myers, Home Depot, Lowe's, and even some of the bigger hardware franchises like Ace Hardware, Wilco, etc. (Sorry if the list of stores happen not to be found in east coast).

Also most nurseries nowadays have a small selection of succulents which could include sempervivums.

P.S. For a Sempervivum specialty nursery in Wisconsin, I highly recommend this one as I have purchased from them and recommend them highly

All great suggestions! I've ordered from The Sempervivum Patch too, and recommend Chris (Goldfinch4) highly!

I also wanted to note that Santa Rosa Gardens, in FL, has been running specials on flats of semps (including the "Chick Charms" series, selections by the same guy who hybridized Sunsparkler sedums)... they generally have at least a few semps in their lineup. I used to order from them several times a year, before a friend and I "discovered" a nursery in East Earl PA with similar prices for even larger plants. :-)

And of course, there's a great way to increase the variety of plants in your garden and get to "talk plants" and enjoy the company of a bunch of terrific people all at the same time...
come to a MAG plant swap! Check the "sticky" threads at the top of this forum for info on the upcoming fall swap. :-)
