I ran across this walking around southeastern Wisconsin yesterday, near the Lake Geneva area, and the flower head is what first caught my eye, but I haven't had any luck with Google. All I keep getting are pokeberry (pokeweed) and I know that's not it, I have some of that growing in my yard.

The scattered plants are 8'-10' tall right now, they look more like young trees with the single stalk. I realized after looking through pics when I got home that I didn't have a really good image of the leaves, so enlarged a few to hopefully help. Some of the leaves seem to have lobes on them.

I agree
Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.

That's it! Thank you very much for the ID. It's quite an unusual sight mixed into a field of everything else growing wild and mostly 3'-4' high.
