So last week what I thought was Daringly Different bloomed, but it turned out to be Prickly Sensation. So then I had another Maryott plant that the label was unreadable, so I thought that may be Daringly Different. Well it bloomed this morning.........

Yesterday's gorgeous bloom of PS

Today's new blooms from mystery plant

Yep, I think that it is PS too. Funny thing is that I got 2 plants (BOGO) when I bought it, and was pretty sure that I planted them all as one big clump..... I guess not! So still waiting to figure out who/where is DD!!

Oh and it drives me crazy that my iphone 6S doesn't like to photograph oranges and peaches, because these flowers are really much more peachy!!!!!!!

Heidi- try using the transfer filter in your photo editing. I use my iPad for photos and suffer the same issue with colors not coming true. Darn thing picks up too much blue.

And I think you're right. The flowers do look the same to me. I guess now you have some to share, trade, sell, or let form a secondary clump Smiling
Not a bad problem to have!

Heidi, I have the same problem! I planted my order from Maryotts with a couple of plants from another source. I didn't make markers but did bury the labels they came with. Well, squirrels dug a bunch of the labels up so I had to guess which was which and rebury the labels. I guess I didn't choose correctly because I was all set for something else to bloom and what pops open but Shiraz! Now I have to wait and see what blooms where so I can put my markers in. Luckily they all have scapes except for 1 cultivar so it should be easy to figure out. Of course if someone sent the wrong plant for any of them I'm in big trouble!

So looked who bloomed side by side this morning!!!!!!!

Beside each other, it is easy to see how different, but how similar these two are.

So do you think maybe a fan of Prickly Sensation hitched a ride with Daringly Different? Or are they entirely separate clumps? I had that happen years ago with PS. One fan came with another cultivar. I was completely shocked when that fan bloomed!

I am going to go back out and check later on. The weather is frightfully disgusting right this moment!! I might melt into a puddle if I go out right now.

You are going crazy.

Curious too. All of mine eventually got figured out but my Griffin Miller doesn't look right. It definitely isn't yellow but maybe the color will change next year (it only had 2 blooms this year). I had a hard time telling it apart from Talavera Terra Cotta at first but TTC eventually turned the brick red color I was expecting.

Yes, I did figure them out. I now know who is Daringly Different and who is Prickly Sensation.

Of course then there was Mexican Fiesta and Lovin Tennessee and one other one......... Rolling on the floor laughing

When these bad boys get moved back into their permanent gardens, they are all getting marked with the pink tape down around their root balls so I can have something to fall back on, although for DD and PS, once they really got blooming, there was no mistaking who was who.
