What I like about the daylily of today is some have fluorescence that none have had before , The modern ruffle patterns are splendor
This has wonderful bright fluorescence
A cross of Electric Orange and Red Volunteer (not the best photo of the look )

The ruffle on this Libby's Trail cross is nice Both are very large blooms

I really enjoy the Bi and Tri color blooms many of you show here

I've been gone from the seedling threads for many days, so congrats to all on their ribbons and unique and beautiful seedlings.
Evaluating an iris seedling, hopefully for rebloom

Love that seedling, Shirlee! And that would be a terrific name too. I'm fond of shorter names, though, so of course I like "NEPTUNE'S TRIDENTS"... nodding

Although, I posted about my first seeding bloom in its own thread, I'll share it here too :)

This is a one year old seedling. This flower is just under 4 inches.. The scape height is short so far, 11 inches to the first bud.
Can't wait to see how it performs/changes with maturity.

I like the way you shortened the name Betty.
Thanks a bunch! Already know you are great with names.
All of these names are so good. Bet the names would be
taken by the time I could register this flower though.

All these names are such great ideas, and it would be
difficult to choose just one. I have a list of one word names
for some of the other seedlings. Short words at that. Had to cross off a
couple of them already because they were used
before I had a chance to do so.

Heidi, your first seedling bloom is quite lovely. Beautiful color.

Lovely color on that seedling, Heidi. I do hope it grows taller than 11", though.

Some late blooming and re-blooming seedlings.
After 43 days with no rain, we got a good 1.6 inches on July 3rd. Since then it has been mid to upper 90's and no more rain. So 13 dry hot days and the fmorecast is for high 90's and no rain chance for the next 10 days.
We are harvesting about 40 seed pods per day.

Wow, gorgeous seedlings Terry! I really love the second and the last ones. But the first one is also very nice too. What are the parents for the second and last photos? Are those dips or tets?

Thank you,
I will have to check the tags for the exact cross but both are dips. The second is from Moroccan Sapphire and the last is a seedling x Little Blue Angel.
The first one is Galaxy Explosion x seedling (Blue Oasis x Nikki Schmith)

Kid,
Beautiful seedlings once again. It is a testament to the toughness of daylilies that they are performing so well throughout your drought. I hope you get rain soon. Crossing Fingers!

Lovely seedlings Kid. Great that you finally got some rain.
It's been awhile since we had rain also, the ground is
beginning to crack open from dryness. I've been watering
but it is just not as good as rain, which the plants really really love.

For those who asked if I would be selling plants, I am happy
to say we've passed state inspection, and now have a license
to sell, so we are officially a nursery.

Thanks Ginny and Diana. I've been trying to put together a list of
which ones to choose. Going through lots and lots of photos, so
it is very time consuming. Decided to take a break from it, so
here I am posting instead. Whistling
