Just another neglected, unnamed (but not unloved😁) seedling from me. Strange colour on this, it is like stippled on in little dots like that style of painting--was it Seurat who painted like that, lots of little dots of colour?

Going to have to go and look it up now 'cos not knowing is driving me round the bend!😁

@touchof sky and @mistyfog

Thank you both, I think that it is pretty but I'm biased!. Thank You!

You can't really see on the picture but it has a faint purple eye. Once it has stopped raining I am going to go and find it a bigger pot and some alfalfa pellets so it can get nice and strong now for winter and next season. Hoping that it keeps its nice shape and colouring in the future.

Thank you also, Valerie for the art info. I THOUGHT that it was Seurat but wasn't sure.

It's been a while since I've posted seedlings to the seedling threads. Bloom is just picking up and I thought I'd share a few images of keepers from previous years that are blooming now.
Years ago I had a small line of patterns I was working with and after deciding to narrow focus I stopped doing pattern x pattern crosses. The first sdlg below bloomed in the last pattern seedling crop and made me rethink my "focus" to allow about 100 pattern x pattern seeds to be planted each year.

Wow, I did not realize that there are such daylily forms. These are amazing! If you have not post this and I come across these in my garden, I may have thought these maybe some forms of defect or mutated growths. Thank you for sharing and showing their uniqueness.

Lovely seedlings, Char.

Nice contrast between that large green throat and the purple petals, Tom.

Nothing much special in my seedling beds. I do have several seedlings that I will keep around for another season, for one reason or another (poly genes, color, bud count, what have you).

Here's a pic from around 12:30 today, of my smaller seedling bed. (It is about 3 ft x 4 ft, arranged in 5 rows of 7 columns, so there are 35 seedlings in there.) Some of the brown is just old leaves; some of it is scorched foliage.

A closer look at the seedlings on the east (right) side:

This seedling is from another bed. Most people would not give it a second look, but I like it because it is one of my larger seedlings, the blooms open well, and it has diamond dusting and a glittery edge.

Polymerous, that pink with the glittery edge is gorgeous! I would pick that out of a field. I love the flower shape and soft pink color .

Here is a shot of what I hope is some of the daylily seedling pictures for next year.
If I can get them planted by Aug., they will likely bloom, wait till sept., and its another year. Its so hot, but its do or die.
