Yea, Im a sucker for parks sponges. I know there are cheaper ways, but for as many as I grow, it works well for me. I will now move them to earthboxes and hope for blooms next spring. For me, the transplanting down here is just far more successful with the sponges too.

Pam - that is a interesting photo! A totally different perspective. Thumbs up

Well all these amazing seedling photos make me drool and sad that those of mine that decided to bloom this year are long done with flowers. I still have a couple more that have buds, but not blooming yet.

As many of you know, I got hit with a virus in early May and had to rebuild my operating system from factory settings. Fortunately, I only lost a month or so of photos because I had done a back up in early April. Could have been worse, believe me, as I had not backed up any of my files before that since last October 2016.

Anyway, I have about 39 decent photos of various seedlings. Too late to post them here as they are not July blooms. But I try to make a slideshow video some years. So made one for this year and posted it to my YouTube account. I always add music because watching a slideshow that is silent just doesn't set the mood. Whistling Hilarious! Hilarious!

If anyone happens to be interested in seeing my seedlings, you can watch the short video at this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?...

Enjoy! And keep those seedling photos coming from those of you up North still getting blooms! Hurray!

"Sponges", pam? Confused Confused Confused I've never heard of those (but then again, I haven't ordered from Park's in many years). Your post made me go take a look at it... I haven't been entirely happy with my seed starting methods, so I might give it a try. Thumbs up

Nice seedlings, Char - I'd be very happy to have some of those in my seedling patch! Thumbs up And absolutely lovely music! Lovey dubby

Pam, I'm very interested in learning more about the sponges, would you mind terribly opening a new thread for discussion on the topic, do that we don't hijack this one?

Thanks everyone! I always enjoy doing those slide shows, but often just don't have time every year. It takes a little work and time but it's fun.

NOTE: I think I only made 1 mistake in this slideshow. So .... the first person who correctly finds my error, I'll give you an acorn. Big Grin

For anyone who is interested in how I do those slide shows, I use 2 programs.
Scrapbook Factory Deluxe Version 5:
http://www.novadevelopment.com...
I love the scrapbook program and have been using it for years!

The video/slide show program is Power Director version 11 by CyberLink:
https://www.cyberlink.com/prod...
I have an older version. The newest version is currently 15. I don't need the extras in 15, so I've just stayed with 11. It is the easiest video and slide show creator I've ever purchased. There are many freebee slide show programs out there in the internet, but this program is my favorite. And they have something called Director Zone (DZ) where you can download free media to use with Power Director.

I am not affiliated with either company. I just like to share how I do these slide shows and videos for anyone interested. Smiling

The first person to spot the error in my seedling slide show gets an acorn!

Checking in and catching up this morning before heading out this morning after a very busy day yesterday. Another busy one in store for today.
Thank you all for the kind comments, thumbs and acorns on the seedling post! It means a lot to me. Group hug
Karen, for many years what we now know as Sculpted forms were thought to be defects and most were tossed to the compost pile. It can be difficult to capture the beauty of these forms in images, you really need to see them in the garden.

Very pretty pink Polymerous. Thumbs up

Chat - Some of mine probably also fall under the sculpted form. Jedi Brenda Spann is one of them. The flowers look multi-dimensional. I agree they are more beautiful to see in person. You probably have the biggest collection on this forum and your photography does a wonderful job of representing their beauty. Thumbs up

Lots of beautiful seedlings everyone. I guess I'll stop being a lurker, being I finally have another one to share. Who likes red doubles with a thin gold edge? I do, looked what opened this morning.

Short and fat, like me. Hilarious!

Haven't been able to measure stats, my crutches get in way.
But estimate the scape to be around 16-20" and bloom to be 5.5-6"

Becky, that is a wonderful slideshow with fantastic seedlings. These seedlings are winners in my book! Love them.
Mystic Image X Game Face,
Wonder of it All X Icicles,
DD X Smoky Eyes,
Best of Friends X Emerald Starburst,
Stenciled Infusion X DD THese seedlings are gorgeous! Congrats! I got a pod on this last cross of yours. Can't wait to get the seeds growing.

Char, I am so happy that you have introduced me to the various scupted forms with the examples above. Their 3D look is very fascinating.

Stan, I love the mix of red and orange colors of your double seedling. Just lovely! Can you tell me how big is it?
