Nice group of seedlings Teresa. It's always interesting to see seedlings from one parent and see how that parent stamps a look to them. The Open My Eyes sdlgs all look good. Also really like Visionary x Queens Circle with the applique.
Thank you for the kind comments on the sdlgs. The pattern is producing a lot of nice pattern kids for me. I moved it last year to a full sun spot so I can evaluate it better. It was growing in a very shaded area and wasn't performing as well as it had earlier... the little oak tree at the end of the bed grew. Branching and budcount were down, Crossing Fingers! more sun is what it needed.

The pink Sculpted cristate seedling was registered last month, name is Sculpted in Vermont. I've heard all kinds of ways to describe the different types of cristation seen in the cristate form...fins, ruffles, flutes, spikes, feathers, flames, beard and others. Even though everyone seems to have a different way of describing them, single flowers with cresting are all Sculpted cristate forms.

Great name for a beautiful flower Hans! Thumbs up

Char, will you be selling it on The Lily Auction? I've found that the southern and California hybridizers can get ahead easily because of their long growing season. Or will you wait until you have a lot of increase?

I know they say register and then introduce, or something like that. Sorry, I don't pay any attention to that. I sell a division a year if that's all I got, and then hope for seeds too.

Teresa, although I've sold on the LA a few times in the past I tend to be like the other members on this forum and do a good amount of bidding and buying on the LA. Whistling It's been my home page for 15+ years. I have a website for selling my own introductions and a general sales listing of other hybridizers plants which will be updated for 2018 sometime after the first of the year.

@Char . . .Thanks for letting me know. I like that you are in zone 4b. Should be a good hardy daylily for northern growers. I wasn't going to add anything for 2018, but if I remember (I start getting really really busy in March; but before that toward the end of December), I'll definitely want to look you up. Right now I lost my seasonal part time job. So I'm scrimping for the months of November and December to get through until things pick up or I get another seasonal part time job.

I was going to write a thread post in the Seeds forum on "Seed Theory". I read a great article in Mother Earth News about it. I was going to begin writing this evening, or soon, and pulled out *all*, which is only about 12 issues, of the Mother Earth News magazines searching for the article. You think I could find it. I wanted to reference and quote from it because it was very good.

It basically talked about the soil and conditions under which a seedling begins its life, tells a whole lot about how and where it will usually thrive in future conditions.
