Does beebalm take a break every few years? My beebalm, that has done well since I bought it 4-5 years ago and was beautiful last year, is really struggling this year. It is only an inch or two tall and it was over two feet tall this time last year. It should be developing flowers by now!

I'm hoping it's just taking the year off, but it is really leaving a huge hole in my cottage garden flowerbed! The Delphinium that it is up against is just as tall as usual and is about to bloom. Without it's companion beebalm. :(
