I spent some time today erecting vertical supports on the circular trellises. I find the display of flowers more pleasing and easier to photograph when flowers present on a vertical support than if they are on the main circular support structure. Some of the plants, such as Ipomoea platensis, are loaded with large buds, so I had to do this activity this weekend.

I used electricians plastic zip ties (cable ties) to lash the bamboo in place. One day, when my days are less rushed, I will learn how to lash them using fiber cord but for now, these zip ties work well.

Joseph where did you get the curved bamboo stakes? I like them Smiling

I think one year the local garden center offered them for sale. It gets interesting when the vine reaches the curved part. Confusion reigns.
