Tomato Plants for Free

We were all taught to remove the lateral shoots when growing tomato plants. This is the shoot that appears in the axis between the stem and leaf, also known as axial shoot, sucker, etc. The removal of these shoots would enable the plant to put all of its energy into fruit production. We were advised to pick out and discard, but not anymore!

Rooting tomatoes in water......worked! Another tomato growing tip: I had no egg shells to put in the holes when I planted my tomatoes so I substituted calcium supplement tablets....easy!

Interesting. I stir the eggshells into the beds with the compost but I learned from older folks to use a liberal dose of powdered milk in the holes for the tomato plants. I guess your substitute has the same effect. Welcome!
Be content moving inch by inch because, by days end, the inches, will add up to feet and yards.

Fulfilling ambitious objectives is usually done one step at a time.

Have never grown Roma Tomatoes but last year a store purchased Roma Tomato in my refrigerator exceeded it's best condition so I decided to dissect the tomato and dry the seeds on paper towel and plant out in the Spring.
I was surprised at the speed of growth and have just started to harvest my first fruit .
Thank you Ralph's for the free harvestšŸ‘.
