I have a himalayan white birch, 3 years old. The front has stopped producing the white bark and has some sort of hole in it....see pictures. Is this normal? I do spray the tree for insects, fertilize it, etc. If this is normal, is there anything I should do to correct it?

I would guess some sort of boring insect.
I want to live in a world where the chicken can cross the road without its motives being questioned.

Welcome! Tom.

Can you tell us where you are located? It may make a difference, even just country would help. In some areas this tree is not recommended because it has problems. No it's not normal.
