Our city used carrotwoods for the parkway tree. Mine is large, well-shaped, and beautiful. It is, however, very prolific with the seedpods. I have to clean the sidewalk and street every other day. My neighbor's carrotwood scarcely produces pods. Is there a way of neutering my tree?

I wish! The nearest one to me is a half a block away, but I hear those seeds hitting my aluminum awning all day. The birds must just eat that thin skin and discard the seed. Grumbling
