Recently, I had a real bad problem with grubs in an area of my garden. I learned it was from overwatering & poor drainage in a sometimes sunny sometimes shaded area underneath a palm tree. I treated it with Spectracide's Triazicide granules and let the soil dry out a little. I added perlite to aid in drainage, as well as shredded tubes from toilet paper, eggshells & used coffee grounds (worm food). Does using the Triazicide granules deplete the soil of vital nutrients, beause I can't seem to keep anything alive in that area. Should I amend the soil again? I have used Amend by Kellogg, which has a conditioner for clay soil (which I have).... Or should I use straight compost, such as chicken or steer?
