This stunning flower opens for a few hours only on one night and I have no idea what it is or why it's scent is so very strong I am blown away by its beauty! Please identify it for me and help me to look after it.

Probably one of the plants called "night blooming Cereus," which are not all from the Cereus genus. Wiki has a good article about the plants that share this nickname:
