Hi everyone,
a friend gave me a box with these plants in it and I would love some help because I have no idea what they are.
In this particular case, the plant is the BOTTOM one.

It also seems to be growing babies and I have no idea how I should re-pot them so that they can thrive, so the name would be awesome to have.
Thank you!!

Its an Echeveria. Those little pups are the replacement plants. When Echeveria bloom, the center of the rosette grow tall and blooms, then it dies. Sad Those little ones will take over for Mommy and fill your pot. Thumbs up

Hi, thanks for your quick replies!
It does look similar to Echeveria but all the ones I find seem to grow out and upwards like a flower, whereas mine is much more sideways and down?

I think it is some type of Sempervivum. At least it is making lots of offsets, once it starts growing a bloomstalk in the middle then it is on its last phase. I wait just a bit more till the baby semps are a bit bigger, and if possible growing their own roots, before I cut off the stolon that connects it with mommy plant. They are alpine succulents that likes cooler growing conditions and bright light. If it can wait a bit, do it in early Fall or early Spring before you do a repot.

If it is an Echeveria, even after it blooms, mommy plant does not die off like the Sempervivums, so observe as it goes.

Depending on your preference and growing location, some like to plant them in ground, make a mound so that water flows away from the base of the plant. If you intend to keep in containers, try to use wider and not too deep containers, their root systems are rather shallow.
