Here is a photo of a small conical plant coming up all over our herb garden. On the left is one that appears young with a white filling, and to the right are larger ones that seem to have lost their contents.
What is this, where did it come from and how threatening is it?

Bird nest fungus and very cool looking. Nidulariaceae, I believe.
