The leaf surface looks like velvet, underside a light purple. I bought it for my dart frogs vivarium.thank you

It looks like this one I used to have that had soft, pubescent, velvety leaves: Elephant's Ear (Alocasia micholitziana 'Frydek')

With the smaller stature looks more like Alocasia reginula to me. Not sure what the difference is between the species and 'Black Valvet', but yours could be either one of them - or both!
