We had so much fun with the #Pollination hashtag, that we want to extend the feature.
The purpose of hashtags (#) in our database is to give another way to search, often ways that aren't obvious in the database.
For example, you can easily search the database for plants that are shade tolerant, but you can't search for obscure things like "unique bloom".

I'm not feeling extremely creative with the hashtags, so I'm asking for your help Lovey dubby
Once we settle on those that the members feel are useful, we'll work to tag the database and show off our hashtags, just like we did for #pollination.

Here are my ideas so far:
#pond
#shade
#houseplant
#texture
#favorite
#unusual

What do you think? How would you like to browse around the database? I'm all ears!

The ones you have are great. I'll try to think of more. I'm feeling brain dead at the moment from our move and all the packing and unpacking.

Aren't all of these already in the database as searchable fields? I perhaps don't 'get' the # concept, just sounds like a new toy to me. But, carry on.

@Dave do you mean spaces as #bloom time should be #bloomtime? Or #bloom#time? Or just # and one word?

Thanks for the clarification, Dave. I'll just wait and see how this all comes together, sometimes I don't get things until they are actually in place, then get an 'aha' moment.

A few random ideas here. Like #pollination, these would mostly be related to actions, states or processes.

#propagation
#snacktime
(you choose the verb there)
#changeofseasons
#dormancy
#sprouting
#pruning

I mentally read them as 'pound-whatever' which makes about as much sense as 'hashtag-whatever.'
