The difference between white vinyl lattice panels and those which are tan or brown is around an extra $10 per panel. Has anyone ever painted their white vinyl lattice panels? If so, how well has it lasted? I have had poor results in the past after painting plastic items.

Thanks for any input.

I've always been warned that painting vinyl will invalidate any warranty. But, here's an article that addresses the ins/outs of doing so, which may be helpful if you decide to go ahead with it.

We have not painted white vinyl lattice panels, but we did paint some patio chairs used spray paint cans meant for plastic they stood up very well. Got it at a big box store if I recall it was either Krylon or Rustoleum.

I would just pay the extra money if you want a color as the color will be all the way thru the panel if it gets scratched it will not show.

They make a special paint that is for vinyl. That said the cost of the paint depending on how much you are doing, you may be as well off just buying the color you want.
That said, important thing is to have a really clean surface so it adheres, and they also make a plastic primer. never used them though so I don;t have personal experience w them.

I should have stated above that I already had 2 white panels. But they look out of place. Still, even if I had to purchase, the extra $20+ buys a lot of paint.. ..and one is not limited to tan or brown...though in my case brown would be ok.Thanks all.
