So I have been noticing some flies that look like slightly smaller house flies around my banana peppers but only in the mornings when the soil is dry and the plants are wilted. When I water them they seem to disappear and stop circling my plants. What are these flies?

Welcome!
Glad you posted. Thumbs up
Are they maybe wasps or bees pollinating your peppers ? Watch them to see.
What conserns me. Is why are your peppers wilted in morning ??? They should be fresh and perky.
