The stems don't look like Dracaena to me but more like a type of ornamental grass of some sort, like Pennisetum. http://www.extension.umn.edu/g...

Interesting, I ended up looking @ Pennisetums too but they're so far out of my wheelhouse, I did not try to get that involved.

@Padulles, how long has this plant been in that spot? Just this year/season, or was it there last year?

Doing more research this morning, Pennisetum glaucum appears closest. Thoughts?

Hi there! I'm happy to see so many suggestions. Thank you all.

I found this grass in a yard I was surveying so I don't how long it has been there. Pennisetum spp. seems like a good match, thank you. I'd rather go for "Pennisetum purpureum" though, but I'm open to other ideas.
