Colors in general have been outstanding this year. I keep thinking all the snow and ice and cold last winter had alot to do with it... but who knows.

'Bernstein' and 'Starshine' - these two make me stop and stare

Looked for "great" summer color and didn't find any as they were all still alive but not that jaw-dropping impressive.

But here's Grapetone just because it's alive at my place, it's been trying hard to get my attention and I've hardly ever seen it for sale (but got it at MCG):

It has wonderful coloring Bev. Unusual green color contrasting with the red. And we will never know the parentage of it, I see it was one of Ed's semps. Very nice.

I don't think any of these has a bad season for color. Photos taken July 20, 2017

This is not todays photo of positively glowing but it still looks just like this. It has been in some shade for the last few weeks.

Below is Nico in summer. winter is green and looks like a different Semp entirely. This is why I think we should start putting dates on the photos we put on the data base

Jo Ann, most of the photos in the database do have dates. If you put your cursor over the photo a little info box pops up and shows the date the photo was taken.
Nice photos of 'Positively Glowing' and 'Nico'. Lovey dubby

More photos from yesterday.

It looks like my young 'Gold Tip' is starting to color. Sure hope it does the mottles faze this summer.

This one really stands out in the bed right now with it lovely soft colors.

Jet in forground, with a vase shaped seedling from 'Oddity'.

I have this in half day (morning) of shade now. It gets afternoon sun and seems to be doing well.

I just have to add the baby 'Persephone', she really stands out right now with her form and bright green with contrasting red/purple?

I thought you knew that. But when you mentioned the lack of dates with photos I realized you didn't. Takes me a bit to catch on to some things. *Blush*

That's a bunch of kick-ass colors y'all got out there. I think my semps' colors happen about two weeks after Lynns', so maybe I'm in for some treats.

My 'Lion King' has more green than amber... but I think it's on the way.

Sometimes I think 'Pink Delight' would be a reasonable substitution for the awesome Echeveria 'Imbricata'.
They're practically twins... sort of.

I agree Tim. Pink Delight really does make a nice hardy replacement for Echeveria 'Imbricata'.
Nice comparison. Thumbs up

Here are some of mine I love right now. Been away from my plants since last Wednesday. They are very dry but I trust no one to water these for me.

What is great summer color to one is not to another. I love the rich purples, vibrant reds and oranges but also like the restful pastels of the blues and pinks.
