Thank you SO MUCH for sharing! This is fascinating; it's so great to see the actual progression of your hybridization efforts. I've got my fingers and toes crossed that next season you'll get flowers and see the results. I hope it is spectacular!

Thank You! Annie. I have my fingers crossed too Crossing Fingers!

I am expecting some very ordinary flowers from this cross. "Set To Music" and "Birthday Surprise" were two of my last blooms in 2013 and the crosses I wanted to make failed so I was just cross pollinating anything with anything because I didn't want to wait another year. Both of these parents have some stripes in their ancestry which I would love my seedlings to inherit, but they will most likely be plain bicolours and amoenas. I've heard from a credible source that the plicata gene is recessive, so there will be fewer of them if any.

If my seedlings bloom this year, it will probably be around late October and early November.

I have always wanted to try my hand at hybridization, but I never seem to have the time and I'm spread so thinly over my garden that I can't see me focusing properly on doing it. Someday...
