Hi All,

Any idea how to hand pollinate pumpkins?

All squash including pumpkins have separate male and female flowers. I just take a male flower, strip the petals and then rub the pistil which contains the pollen onto the ovary of the female flower. Quick and simple. Some folks use small paint brushes to pollen the pollen and apply it to the female flower. I am not so dainty. Note that this needs to be done early in the morning. Blossoms tend to close in the afternoon.
