The flowers and leaves look like some kind of periwinkle. I'm not an expert though so I don't know what variety. It looks so dainty and lovely. Smiling

Tks Jai for your response. IF Periwinkle is the same as Vinca....I'm not sure that is one of the same. THis has soft leaf surface rather than smooth and shiny as vinca does.

I should also have mentioned it is low growing, maybe six inches (This is first sowing of mine) ... and spreads rather like petunias do.

NOte the unusual white stamens that come from the middle...

Dang, you're right. Didn't mean to lead you astray. Dianthus stamens sometimes curl like that, but I'm not gonna speculate anymore beyond that lest I confidently tell you it's a giraffe and her name is Susan.

I think it's a Silene of some kind.

thanks Janine for your input; the flower does seem very similar to those I see online, though nothing exactly the same? One pink silene, DID have those same twisty-white stamens, though the petals were shaped differently.

Appreciate you for pointing me towards something that may be it.

Some more identifying features I took pics of a short while ago might help you, and anyone else.
