I was looking up info on a specific plant and discovered there is an incorrect image posted in the plant database for that particular plant . Clicked on "post a comment" to report it but the message very nicely says , if that is what I want to do , I am in the wrong place. Well that info is great but it doesn't bother to tell you where exactly to go to report the incorrect image .

Thus I am here trying to find out that info . Does anyone know and are able to point me in the right direction ? It would be most appreciated

You can go back to the image in question and click on "Move this image to another plant". Then propose where it should go. Smiling

Does that also trigger a call-out to the person who submitted the photo? Just curious, seems that person should be in the loop for potential discussion.

I think you should open up the image then make a comment that you think the image is wrong. That opens up a thread that will notify the person, and then it can be determined what to do.

If you click on 'move this image to another plant', I believe the moderator will contact you by tree mail, or you could contact the moderator of the forum in question by tree mail.

what if I have no idea where the image should go , just that I do not believe it is a correct image for the plant it is posted under.

I would open the photo and start a comment thread - that will invite in the original poster of the photo, plus anyone else who might be paying attention (I routinely look at 'recent posts' since I don't follow a whole lot of forums). I enjoy watching the deductive process at work, most often it is done in a cordial manner, and folks are happy to see errors corrected.

ok opened image and only place I could find to make a comment was under topic . recommend image be deleted . I filled that in with what I believe to be true about the image and now will leave it in the hands of the moderators or one of the powers that be .

I think that was the right thing to do. The moderator may contact you.
