Hello! This is my first year of gardening and homesteading. II live in southeastern WI (zone 5A/5B). I started an asparagus raised bed in the spring. I started my asparagus by seed and I think transplanted to late. All the plants (about 50), with the exception of like 3 little plants are dead. I think the soil was too warm when I transplanted. My question to you experts is is this bed likely to come back next year? Or is it a loss? I am wondering because, I'd like to plant pumpkins in this space... like right now, before it gets too late in the season. But I will only use this bed if there is a good possibility that my asparagus will not come back. If there is a chance that I will not have to start my asparagus over, I'd rather just do my pumpkin patch somewhere else. Thanks in advance!

The others will not come back.
Plant your pumpkins.
If you think you have time.
